Yes — joining SharedOut is completely free. We charge a 10–15% platform commission only when a booking is completed. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, and no subscription charges.

How do I know I can trust the providers?

Every provider on SharedOut is verified with Singpass before they can list. This means their identity is confirmed against government records — the same system used for government digital services.

What if the item I borrowed is damaged or the service is unsatisfactory?

Our structured dispute resolution system handles this. For equipment, handover photos are taken at both collection and return — so there's a clear evidence trail. Security deposits are held via Stripe and can be used to cover genuine damage.

I run a home-based business — can I list my services?

Absolutely — SharedOut is built for you. You'll need to verify your identity with Singpass and confirm that your home-based business operates within HDB/URA guidelines. Once onboarded, you can manage availability, set pricing, and receive bookings.

What payment methods does SharedOut accept?
